Ugo N’gan’ga Gitau was born in Canada and grew up traveling throughout East and West Africa. At a young age, Ugo had an instant connection to the rhythms of the music and paid particular attention to the different rhythms, melodies, and drums that create dance music. In 1995, he returned to Canada and found a new home in the Montreal after-hours club scene. Ugo has always had club life in his heart and those years spent in the dark forged what became the world he now depicts through sound.  In 1999, he revealed his true musical colors as the now infamous B’UGO, with an eclectic mix of deep dark tech-house and soulful disco. B’UGO went on to a four-year residency with the internationally known deep house series, Therapy.  Always looking forward, B’UGO pushes the limits of house and techno with new sounds and influences from world music, pop, rock, hip-hop, and soul. B’UGO’s in your face style keeps your feet firmly glued to the dance floor in a daze of glamor, fierceness and an overdose of madness.

This House aficionado does not let the barriers of genres, sounds or styles get in the way of imagination & originality. B’UGO has the foundation of an oldskool DJ with an ultra modern sound that creates a party everywhere he goes. He is a true “Party Professional”. B’UGO gives a serious work out of your body, mind, and soul on all the sound frequencies in order to elevate and energize.

Don’t be fooled by this funky brother’s flashy attire, he has already established himself as a resident in many Canadian venues and was just named Best DJ in the Montreal Mirror’s Best Of Montreal quite a few times. B’UGO headlines some of Montreal top rated parties in the Queer Loft party circuit, Afterhours Scene, Mainstream and Corporate world. He has performed at legendary spots such as Parking, Circus, and Stereo and alongside A-list DJs Dimitri from Paris, Dj Gregory, The Martinez Brothers, Angel Moraes, Fred Everything, Honey Dijon & Roy Davis
Jr. Between 2012 and 2015, B’UGO headlined The Caribbean Evolution of House Festival in Turks & Caicos 5 times.  He is also a staple at Montreal Fashion Week, Jazz Fest and is a resident DJ for H&M’s multiple in-store events across Canada

B’UGO is all about the party and he never lacks focus. He works around the clock to bring his fans the best and most exclusive dance tracks, sounds & atmospheres from around the world. Although having fun is a priority, this former club kid spends most of his time hard at work in the production studio at all hours of the day & night working on upcoming original material and remixes.
